The Cubiculaire room is so named for it was the room of Bernard de Saint Etienne, the Pope’s cubiculaire, or chief chamberlain. It led to the Conclave corridor, and is one of the architectural masterpieces of the Palace. Its lovely mullion window opens between the two turrets on the main façade of the Palace.
